Legalizing marijuana

Marijuana is one drug that has heeling powers to it as believed by the Rastafarian culture. While smoking marijuana you’re immune system will improve as time progresses. THC has chemical in it that can rehabilitate your immune system making it stronger overtime. A couple quotes that I found from Bob Marley tell exactly what marijuana is and how it can help. “Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.      When you smoke the herb, it reveals you to yourself.” (Bob Marley) In this culture it is believed that Cannabis is the true healing through which you need in your life. I believe the same Marijuana has never hurt anyone and will never. Bob Marley talks in his quote about alcohol being the destruction and herb (marijuana) as the healer. From this I understood that he is basically talking about alcoholics, drunk drivers and people of that nature. There has never once been a case of someone who was intoxicated from marijuana driving recklessly or in an accident because marijuana was never directly connected to any of them.
( use of each substance graph)

The side effects of being drunk are lost of balance, poor judgment, unconsciousness and many more. “One person died every 48 minutes due to drunk driving in 2009” (snyder). On the side of marijuana side effect are far less concerning. It is said that after smoking marijuana and then driving it can increase your skills by over compensating for their impairments. According to norml.org drug marijuana use is never directly connected to any accidents. On the other hand 40% of all accidents in the U.S.A are caused by drunk drivers. In my 17 years of living I have never heard a case of someone under the influence of marijuana in a car accident or over dosed. Other drugs that are legal and illegal have been causes of over doses and accidents all over the news. Everything from pharmaceutical drugs to crack/cocaine has had many over dose cases over the years. For example in 2011 there were over doses from the house hold drug Tylenol. In these cases Tylenol was ingested by the specific mg on the label but that was too much for most people which caused over doses. Also the manufacturing of Tylenol wasn’t all in all correct so they had to pull it off of shelves.“Instead of taking five or six of the prescriptions, I decided to go a natural route and smoke marijuana.” -Melissa Etheridge quotes This quote shows exactly the feeling you get from this plant and how it could improve situations. With the ingestion of five or six peels you are sure to overdose. The heeling that those five or six peels will do for you can be achieved by just one “blunt or Joint” (names for marijuana cigarettes).

Gun Control

In America gun violence is a very big problem. I see problems with guns every day in the U.S. I don't know why this is such a big problem but it is over bearing and overcoming the US. More than 30,000 people are killed by firearms each year in this country. This is the equivalent of more than 30 people are shot and murdered each day.
1/2  of them are between the ages of 18 and 35
1/3 of them are under the age of 20
Among the younger crowd guns environments are going to think. Especially in African-Americans. Homicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-24 year-olds and the primary cause of death among African Americans of that age. In the black community homicide looks like it's a way of life.
Gun Homicides (average annually):
Less than 50: Japan
Less than 150:  Germany, Italy, France, etc.
Less than 200:  Canada
More than 10,000: USA
Gun control, is it an attribute or a disservice for the United sates? Out of all the states in America Connecticut is right number 36 for percentage of gun deaths. Connecticut equates to 54% of deaths being to guns according to total deaths in it's state. Although this isn't very high this is still a lot of deaths due to guns. Sherell Thornton stated "although we do have the environment's taking guns off the street won't work". She then proceeded to tell me that even though guns will be off the street there will be some way that people will get them even if its illegally. This is true because there are numerous most people who have guns that don't have permits or didn't get them from the gun store. Sherell stated " take away guns is taking away one of our amendments also it takes away the protection that we have against the police". I understand what she's saying because if cops have guns why shouldn't we be able to.

Although guns are the only thing that can protect us it is one thing that basically make sure of our protection. Lionell on the other hand had something very interesting that he said. He stated " guns aren't dangerous but the people who carry them are". The decision that people make with the guns are where all of these deaths are coming from. If we had more background checks and had a better system allow we will permit people to have guns we will have less deaths and less violence with guns in our community. As a fire lieutenant And mentor in Hartford CT, Lionel sees and deals with gun violence and children who deal with this every day. He knows a lot about gun violence and is a huge advocate for more strict gun laws.

The debate on more strict gun laws or less strict gun laws will always play an effect in our community. There are problems every day with guns but guns aren't the worst part of our society. This debate will go on forever and ever and which side to choose will never be easy.

Jamaica
Jamaica one of the most beautiful islands on this planet beaches with clear blue water you can see all the way to the floor nothing like the beaches of America. These beaches have water that you can see one hundred feet deep. Unlike our waters that are murky and you can't see your Hand in front of your own face. Swimming in these waters you feel like an angel. These waters allow you to glide and allow you to see without using goggles. Sandy beaches white, whiter than brand-new sheets. This is the type of sand you want to just dig your toes deep in to. Jamaica is also one of the most fun places ever.

One place that all tourists and people of the island go to is Duns River falls.  This is a water fall used to cleanse the body on the island. One of my friends who lived there told me that she used to climb Duns River every day to see how far she could get until she reached the top. On one of our trips to Jamaica we experienced something called Carnival. Carnival is an event that last for days and it is just a huge party. Everyone is out on the streets dressed up and dancing. In Jamaica dance and music is a very big part of life. They have a style that is different to mostly any other type dates. People in the US try to imitate this dance. The only ones who perfectly do it are the Jamaicans. One last thing that is great in Jamaica that is a need try is the food.
People try the Jamaican bakeries in America and feel as if the food is awesome, but in Jamaica it is totally different. The seasoning is completely out of this world. They have tastes in their food that will make you want to slap your mama. It's just so beautiful overall and just one visit won't do you any justice. You will need many visits to take in all the sites swim at all the beaches and eat all the food. One of the greatest places on earth is needed to be traveled to by everyone. So be the one to take a trip to Jamaica.

This is a picture of the beautiful island of Jamaica. As you can see around the coast are beautiful beaches and the Clear waters. These are the waters that people swimming every day. These waters are a tourist attraction of themselves. Jamaica has some of the best beaches on this planet.
This is a picture of card about Jamaica. You can see out of the fun and excitement that comes out of this. You can see all the dancers dressed up everyone on the streets and you can just get a sense of how fun it would be. Carnival is something that she would love to go to Jamaica.
This is a picture of Jamaica's food. You can see all of the beauty it holds itself. You can tell by this picture all of the love that is put into their food. This is not the food that's from America cooked in the Jamaican bakeries this is the original Jamaicans plate. A taste of Jamaica is a taste of greatness.
